In 2017, Jansen Recycling realised a thermal cleaning installation in Son, the first of its kind in the south of the Netherlands. We use it to process tarry asphalt, tarry or bituminous roof covering and thermally contaminated soil (cyanide, oil and PCBs).
The sand and gravel produced after processing are first certified and then used as construction or base material. One of the most modern installations in Europe, the thermal cleaning installation has a processing capacity of up to 300,000 tonnes a year.
